The club was started in 1983/84 with an under ten side entered by the fathers of some local boys. Bill Winkley, Mike Vigus, John Gearie and the late Brian Drew formed the first committee all of whom had children playing for the first under ten team. As this group of boys moved through the age groups so other teams were formed behind until in late eighties we had established teams in all the age groups from under 10 through to under 16.
A senior side was formed in 1989 with Mike Vigus as manager. Most of the players that came through the junior age groups went on
to play for the senior team and to this day we still have a number of players that have progressed through the age groups playing for the senior team.
Being allocated a home ground had always been an important goal from day one and as we initially had no pitch on the estate our home grounds where Litchard Park, Newbridge Fields and Great Western Ave. We were finally given a home ground in the early nineties which is the pitch we currently use located alongside the newly built Archbishop McGrath School which provides a 3G training pitch for winter training.
